From here You can read a reproduction of a Märklin Magazin [1/73] article. The text is in the original German version. The copyright is obviously of the magazin and the author... I beg their pardon, but it's really very interesting, and that issue of MM is sold out...
I hope that it would be possible to publish an english translation of the best old technical Märklin Magazin articles: they are really very interesting...
I'm thinking about an English translation, if I would not be convicted before, nad if I would be able to download the translation software I paid for in the first days of April :)
